“The things that has worked for me… is to remember the hard times” – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
.
.
Itu yang DJ cakap.. macam mana dia prepare untuk big moment. Masa dia tengah down ke apa.. “remember the hard times”
.

Dia cakap all throughout his life, ada banyak perkara yang gagal. Cemerlang dekat college menang Championship. Dia pergi Canada, join CFL (Canada Football League) equivalent of NFL dekat US. Masuk serap Senior Team.

Dia semangat gila. 2 minggu lepas tu, tempat dia kena ambil alih oleh teammate.

“It crushed my dream”

Long story short – he lost his place in the team.

Dalam poket- ada 7 dollar je. Dia xtahu nak buat apa dengan hidup dia.

Pada mulanya destine for greatness, masuk CFL, planning dia nak pergi NFL, tiba2 tak sampai 2 minggu, boom. Gone.

Dia cuba masuk wrestling as we all know – The Rock.

He quit on top of his career – ramai tak setuju. They said it’s foolish decision. But dia cakap, sampai bila nak wrestling ni.

Dia quit and cuba berlakon.

Dia satu agency dengan Will Smith.

Dia cakap dekat agency dia.. “With respect, I want to be better than Will Smith”

Apa reaksi agency dia masa tu? Kita boleh bayang. Siapa mamat wrestling ni nak jadi power macam Will Smith.

But he focus, macam2 dia buat.

Boleh tengaok cerita-cerita dia masa awal2 blakon.

Dia nak buat big movies..

Cerita yang boleh move billion of people. Dia nak bagi impak terhadap penonton.

And now he’s among the highest paid actor.

He didn’t quit. Dia tau apa dia nak. Dia work for it.

Ada satu match Wrestlemania kot dengan John Cena – championship title.

Tiket sold out. Audience 85k. Time tu dia tengah shooting untuk Fast Furious – so fitness out.

Dia back and forth shooting, training, shooting and training.

Untuk match tu – depa set 45 minutes.

Pada minit 15, sekali John Cena bukak move dia i xtau apa nama.

Bengggg. DJ kena.. dia tak boleh bangun.

Something pop dekat peha dia.. Dia takut arteri putus la.. hilang kaki laa.

At that times.. dia ada dua pilihan.. call it a day, give up.

Atau teruskan. Apa yang ada pada peha dia tu, boleh tunggu.

Not today, not now.

Dia tanya ref.. “Oii ref berapa lama lagi” Ref cakap 30 minit.

Dia fikirkan audience yang datang, ticket sold out, the money on the table, dia tak boleh quit.

Stake is too high. Dia dah bagi harapan kepada team dia. Dia tak boleh quit.

Somewhere around minit 35 macam tu kot, John Cena bukak finishing move dia, setel.

DJ kalah

After the match, the flew back to Florida – jumpa doktor. Buat MRI bagai.. memang peha dia totally “fsk up”

But he proud of it.

Dia tak give up dengan diri dia.. Dia deliver the best he can deliver.

Whatever things happen, it can wait. Dia tak akan pass up the opportunity. Only the best.

Even kita sendiri.. kita ada our moment – down ke apa. Bukan cakap tak boleh ada moment tu.

Boleh – but not too long.

If we do something, it doesn’t work. Business, life, relationship, hatta marriage sekali pun, at very critical stage when we think we want to quit, try something new..

“Remember the hard times”

If you down, tak capai target “Remember the hard times”

Tengok semula moment2 yang menyebabkan kita sampai pada tahap ini.

Dari kita mula belajar berniaga, dari kita mula kenal kawan2, shit happen for a reason. But it can’t put us down.

“Remember the hard times”

As for DJ, the whole life.. hilang spot with his CFL team.. quit wrestling at the top of his carrer.. change different role..

He remember the hard times. It allow him to keep focus

Kalau kita ada daily, weekly goals kita contohnya in term of sales target, kita tak capai.

Datang hari Ahad atau Isnin, kita lemau. Then remember the hard times.

Dah ada opportunity yang diberikan, work for it.

Give your best shot.

If tak dapat close, walaupun your team tak buat review, check semula all your conversation with your prospect..

Then you shall ask.. “How can I do better?”

Macam mana aku nk jawab lagi bagus daripada ni..baca semula post sotong saya – obses.

Kena ada tahap obses untuk capai X in Y yang akan push kita to the place yang kita tak pernah capai.

“If you want something you’ve never had You must be willing to do something you’ve never done.”

I don’t know about your target but..

If sekarang kita punya personal monthly target 20k..

Then if you nak capai 30k, assuming the rest is the same, then you need to change something.

Maybe your response time, maybe kena jawab objection dengan lagi bagus, maybe kena menjoyah lebih.

Kalau kita nak buat sales 100k ke 1 juta pon, saya pasti – kita kena ubah sesuatu.

If we keep on duduk dekat same level, result pon akan kekal sama.

So lemau ke.. tak semangat ke.. hilang motivasi ke..

Remember the opportunity that you have, remember about your goals, remember about your difficulties..

“Remember the hard times”

InsyAllah.
